Surviving Ceres
A downloadable game for Windows
UPDATE
Surviving Ceres now has a steam page. Please consider wish listing the game to show you're support. You can do see here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2810070/Surviving_Ceres/
I hope to have a demo out in the next few months, and will update this page when that happens. For now this technical demo is still the only way to play the game.
Description
Surviving Ceres is a survival game with an emphasis on crafting and base building.
In the distant future earth's population has surpassed critical levels, and we are forced to head into the stars to create additional human colonies. Due to the harsh environments only you a genetically enhanced human can begin this process on the dwarf planet Ceres.
You're goal is to explore, gather, craft, and build a large colony base. Once you have completed enough of a base, you can begin to bring in colonists that you can put to work on advanced facilities. With these advanced facilities you will be able to Terra form the planet creating a new home for the human race.
How To Play
All keys are re-bindable, but by default it is a WASD based movement system. You can use TAB to open you're inventory, E to interact with machines and facilities, Left and Right click to use and cancel quick slot actions.
You can DRAG and DROP items using modifiers of CTRL and SHIFT to split 1 and half stacks, as well as there are buttons you can use for the same functions.
Game State
This is a technical demo intended to test game systems and game feel. Many visuals are just placeholders, and many sounds are missing. Some systems have been created, but only implemented in small ways. Such as footstep sounds exist only in the rocket, landscape, and HUB. It didn't make sense to set up all modular base parts with footsteps as they are all placeholder visuals.
You're mission is to mess around with the game, and try to make you're way to growing, cooking, and then eating a baked potato. Doing this will have you engage with most game systems for testing purposes.
If you find any issues, or have feedback of any kind. Please post it to me via the itch pages, or even better my discord.
What Is Next
The next phase of this game's development is the first visual pass on all modular base components, and machines. This will allow us to create a first draft of a steam page, and then we will work towards refining the experience on our way to a steam demo. This page will update when that demo is available.
